Looking to master kung fu?
As best we can, we promise to guide your kung fu quest.
Our Approach
Every Kung Fu student begins their journey from a unique point. Some seek strength, others desire mobility, and some pursue beauty, often underestimating the importance of practical combat skills.
Many misconceptions exist about Kung Fu being just forms and not being intense, but achieving balance in body, mind, and spirit is essential.
Thatβs why weβve developed three modern systems to effectively share our traditional syllabus and bust these myths.
-
A mindful fitness-focused approach that emphasizes movement and enjoyment, leaving you with a sweat and a smile, all rooted in Kung Fu and Tai Chi principles.
Traditionally, Kung Fu students were expected to already have a good level of athleticism before specialising in specific styles or forms, a standard still upheld by many traditional schools. Kung Fu for Fun aims to bridge that gap for seasoned Tai Chi practitioners, Kung Fu enthusiasts, and beginners alike, leaving everyone with a sweat and a smile.
-
The traditional method, where you learn forms and techniques as a regular class would, providing a comprehensive understanding of martial arts.
Each student receives a personalized syllabus guided by Yeung Sifuβs mastery. Expect forms, weapon work, light sparring, theory sharing, and breath work tailored to the style you want to learn from us.

Birthed out of the pandemic, our Kung Fu at Home approach allows students to practice in the comfort of their own space. Recognizing that not everyone can visit us in Hong Kong, we offer flexible training options.
Through one-on-one Zoom sessions, instructional videos, and webinar classes, students can explore forms, conditioning exercises, and breath work. These sessions are typically conducted in English and tailored to accommodate the European time zone.

Our styles
-
As one of the oldest lineages of traditional Tai Chi, it embodies a meditative yet powerful spiral art. In our classes, we focus on its practical applications, including wrestling, kicks, push hands, and strikes.
-
Baguazhang, with its circular and strategic movements, significantly enhances your awareness of Chi. By embracing a Taoist approach, it helps you attain higher levels of self-cultivation.
-
Hebei-style Xinyi, an internal style inspired by spear movements, emphasises straight-line motion. It refines your middle-range techniques and enhances power delivery through the Dantian.
-
Our lineage traces back to the Zuo Family Pigua Tongbei of Zuo Baomei in Cangzhou. As a result, our forms are traditional, grounded in practical application, and less focused on flashiness.
-
Yuan Hou Tongbei is an explosive northern style known for its practical applications. Incorporating the five elements and animal movements, it offers a fun and direct approach to learning Kung Fu.
-
Weaponry is central to many Northern Kung Fu styles. We teach the Miao Dao, Great Spear, Hook Swords, and more. Expect to spar and practice individual techniques in our classes
